Let's Help A Concord Friend...
Jacob Swiderski is an 8 year old student at our school who was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor when he was 2 years old. Since his diagnosis, he has endured 27 months of various chemo drugs, 12 weeks of sedated radiation, as well as 5 brain surgeries. On Feb. 6th, after a routine MRI, doctors concluded that the tumor is back and has spread to different places in his frontal lobe.
Surgery is not an option and he can not endure anymore radiation.
Jacob will once again be faced with chemo that could last for another 18 months.
What can we do? Today a note is coming home with "oldest and only" kiddos with an opportunity to participate in a golf tournament. If you are not a golfer, there are other ways to help listed on the note.
As a class, we will be having a "Jammies for Jacob" day. Be on the lookout for the date. Kiddos can wear pjs to school and bring a $1 to go towards helping Jacob's family.
